:::catching up

i know i said i'd keep this blog going but it seems my other one has been keeping me busy.


anyway, here's what's been happening.

over the weekend we went to vegas for the dixie chicks concert. it was awesome! from the opening "goodbye earl" to the final song, the profound, "truth," the chicks had everyone on their feet.


today, mayra left with her grandma to chicago. she's going to be a flower girl in the wedding of one of lucy's cousins this saturday. well, after she left, it began to rain so tony decided he'd enjoy the quick monsoon.




he's gonna have to enjoy the moments alone with us seeing as how it's the first time mayra's been away from us. or maybe we'll get to join her this weekend after all. (lucy's got jury duty so we're on a day-to-day basis here.)

:::independence day

early this morning, lucy and i took the kids down to san diego for a parade we were in. they had a good time as did we.


later, we went down to cerritos college to watch the fireworks. tony turned out to be the chillon. he did not want to be around the loud explosions. i told lucy how albert was the same way when he was tony's age also.

tony insisted on taking over my portachair this afternoon. i took advantage of his hijinks and took the above photograph.


on a different note, i finally got my new weblog up and running! while this one'll still be maintained, the new weblog has MINIs, including mine, as it's theme. the other thing about the new journal is that it'll be powered by movabletype!
